AION 2 Factions

Faction choice matters in MMORPGs — for PvP, territory and friends. This page tracks AION 2's faction system with the same honesty as everything else on the site.

NC has not published AION 2's faction system details. Series tradition is documented as tradition only; the Global build decides the facts.

Faction system status

As of 2026-08-30, the official pages do not detail AION 2's faction system — no faction names, no faction-locked content, no faction-based PvP rules. This page collects what is announced and labels everything else as unconfirmed.

The series tradition

The original AION is known for two opposed factions built around the winged Daeva: the light-aligned Elyos and the shadow-aligned Asmodians, whose rivalry drives open-world and territory PvP. Whether AION 2 reuses this conflict, evolves it, or replaces it is unannounced (series tradition, COMMUNITY-level, 2026).

Why factions matter

  • PvP alignment — faction systems usually define who you can fight openly (see PvP).
  • Territory and world — faction-held zones affect questing and gathering (see Locations).
  • Friends and servers — faction choice can separate friends; server details are unannounced.

What is confirmed

Only that the game is an open-world MMORPG with PvP. Everything faction-specific is marked unconfirmed until official or live-verified evidence appears — tracked on updates.
